The Saudi Sports Arbitration Center Participates In The International Sports Week For Dispute Resolution
The Saudi Sports Arbitration Center will participate in the second edition of the Riyadh International Dispute Resolution Week (RIDW25), which is scheduled to be held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, from February 23 to 27, 2025
The Saudi Sports Arbitration Center's participation in this event, which is considered a prominent international occasion, attracts a wide spectrum of stakeholders involved in dispute resolution from all over the world. It serves as an annual platform where key players in the industry—lawyers, alternative dispute resolution practitioners, legal advisors, judges, and representatives from both local and international public and private sectors—gather to share insights and experiences.
Dr. Mohammed bin Nasser Basem, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Sports Arbitration Center, explained that the Center’s participation in the second edition comes after the success achieved by its involvement in the first edition, during which the Center organized two dialogue sessions and two workshops, with 10 speakers and more than 400 participants. Dr. Basem further noted that the Center’s participation in the second edition will include the establishment of the "Saudi Sports Arbitration Center Forum," which will feature several dialogue sessions and a workshop, focusing on developments and challenges in the field of sports law, as well as the role of sports institutions and stakeholders in the sports ecosystem.
It is worth mentioning that the Center's participation aligns with its ongoing efforts to contribute to the dissemination of knowledge in sports law, arbitration, and mediation within the Kingdom, and to raise awareness about mechanisms for resolving sports-related disputes.
